Our Mission

To promote and stabilize positive human growth through respect, responsibility, trust, caring, and community. Collaborative partnerships are pursued to provide education and promote self-suffciency.

We serve as a “hub” for services and resources that sustain a strong, vibrant, healthy community on the rural plains. We serve the residents of: Calhan, Peyton, Ramah, Simla, Falcon, Matheson, Ellicott, Rush, Yoder, Edison, Hanover, Elbert, Elizabeth, and Kiowa.

There are over 20 agencies that meet monthly as part of our Support Coalition and provide services to our communities. The Community Outreach Center (COC) has a modular ofice building just inside the entrance to the El Paso County Fairgrounds in Calhan so that Coalition members can have ofice space to meet with residents, and provide education and assistance as they offer services.

Services

The following agencies currently have office hours at the COC:

• Aspen Point Mental Health
• AARP Free Income Tax preparation - no age or income requirements
• El Paso County Department of Human Services
• Pikes Peak Workforce Center
• The Independence Center
• Tessa

Additionally, there are several agencies that are part of our Support Coalition that are not able to send a staff member to us, although they are willing to assist from their Colorado Springs offices.
