Town of Calhan

The Public Works Department is dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life in Calhan by planning for future needs, promoting environmental quality, building and maintaining municipal infrastructure, managing public investments, and protecting health and safety.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the Town’s water supply and sewer system, streets and drainage maintenance, snow removal on town streets, maintenance of the town park and town facilities, mosquito control, and oversight of public works contracts and building permit and inspection program. Public Works also holds meetings of the Calhan Planning and Development Committee.

Calhan does not provide other utility services such as electricity, gas, refuse collection, telephone, or television service. Citizens contact the vendor of their choosing for these services.
