New regulations require Water Providers, such as The Town of Calhan to complete a supply line inventory by October 16th, 2024. The inventory will verify and document both the town-owned supply lines, as well as, the customer owned supply lines.
Any supply lines owned by the town that are lead, galvanized steel or iron will be replaced by The Town of Calhan.
Customer owned supply lines will be identified and inventoried. The customer is not required to have their portion of the service line replaced. There may be grants available to assist with replacement, but nothing is in place at this time. The Town of Calhan is not responsible for replacing customer owned supply lines.
We are asking all residents to verify and email a picture of the customer owned supply line, including your name and address, to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12/31/2023 in order to complete the inventory. If you have questions or need assistance in verifying service line materials, please email email@example.com. If you do not have email service, please submit verification and pictures to Town Hall at your convenience.
